Granny square crazy

Granny square crazy

Since my last post, I’ve been crocheting more of my colourful Granny Squares. I may even have become a little obsessed with making them! When I sat down to write this blog post, I started reflecting on why that might be. I think I have an answer…

In a world that can make us despair with its ugliness, heartache and fear, it’s vital (for my sanity) to search out the beauty, happiness and love in the world. For me, colour equals beauty, and crafting equals happiness.

So crocheting these colourful squares is like my antidote to the negativity in the world. The latest colours I’ve been exploring are green and blue, which seem to have a real calming effect.

Treat yourself to a little bit of time to stare at these colours… let them absorb into you… and see how they make you feel… (have a look at my finished rainbow blanket here)
